Trap for monitoring and capturing wasps and hornets

Features

Made of polyethylene, this trap is designed to attract insects and prevent their escape. Wasps and hornets enter through the central funnel-shaped opening located at the bottom and, when attempting to exit, fall inside where the attractant liquid is placed. The trap’s effectiveness in monitoring these insects is ensured by the scent released from the liquid, which acts as a powerful lure.

Instructions for use.

Place the trap at a height of about 1.5 meters above the ground, in a location that can be easily inspected, out of direct sun and away from drafts. To ensure effective area coverage, place one trap per 50 m², preferably away from building entrances to avoid attracting insects near frequented areas.

Precautions: To reduce the risk of accidentally capturing bees, it is recommended to install the trap at least 5–6 metres away from a beehive.

Monitoring period: from February to October, depending on climatic conditions.

Maintenance: inspect the trap every 7 days to check the number of insects captured. Replace the attractant liquid if the trap is full, the liquid has evaporated, or after 2 weeks, whichever comes first.
