Trap for monitoring and capturing wasps and hornets<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Made of polyethylene, this trap is designed to attract insects and prevent their escape. Wasps and hornets enter through the central funnel-shaped opening located at the bottom and, when attempting to exit, fall inside where the attractant liquid is placed. The trap\u2019s effectiveness in monitoring these insects is ensured by the scent released from the liquid, which acts as a powerful lure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Place the trap at a height of approximately 1.5 metres above the ground, in a location that is easy to inspect, sheltered from direct sunlight, and away from drafts. To ensure effective coverage of the area, position one trap every 50 m\u00b2, preferably away from building entrances to avoid attracting insects near frequently used zones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Precautions<\/strong>: To reduce the risk of accidentally capturing bees, it is recommended to install the trap at least 5\u20136 metres away from a beehive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monitoring period<\/strong>: from February to October, depending on climatic conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maintenance<\/strong>: inspect the trap every 7 days to check the number of insects captured. Replace the attractant liquid if the trap is full, the liquid has evaporated, or after 2 weeks, whichever comes first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
